Getting evaluated during our NY MMP Drive is the first step to becoming a certified medical marijuana patient and receiving your medical marijuana card. The next and final step includes having your condition certified and registered in the State of New York Medical Marijuana Program by our Medical Marijuana Doctor for 5-15 minutes and then submitting your application to the State Department. Once the doctor approves you for medical cannabis, the doctor’s office will send a patient certification form on your behalf to the State of New York. Once you’ve received your patient certification from our doctors, you will need to fill out an online patient application for the medical marijuana program. The State of NJ charges $100 as the application fee, which is included in the doctor’s total fee of $139.99. You will also receive detailed instructions on how to do this, post-appointment, via email. After completing an evaluation at the MMP Drive, you will be mailed your medical record via email to submit to the doctor during your visit.
How long does it take to get my medical marijuana card after the drive?
Typically 1-4 weeks. You can schedule your medical marijuana certification appointment for as soon as the same day, for any day and time after your complete your evaluation during our MMP drive and are rendered a referral. The doctors office will send your application to be a Medical Marijuana patient the same day that you complete your certification.
How long is the MMP evaluation?
Expect to be in your evaluation for a maximum of 2 hours.
